Green Bay Packers Game

On December 28th Carrie and I had the most amazing experience...Watching a Packer Game at Lambeau Field for the First Time Ever Together!

Just the two of us braved the chilly weather, and slugged off head colds to have the most enjoyable memories watching the Packers beat the Lions to win the NFC North Championship.

It was awesome!

Christmas in Menomnie

Christmas At Home, Part Two

A Christmas Present for Shelby

Zoe testing out the new ride for the first time.

Christmas At Home

This year for Christmas we celebrated together as a family on the day before Christmas Eve.

Starting the day off with a wonderful brunch of Bubble Loaf and Christmas Ham.

After we had all eaten way too much, we gathered around the Christmas Tree and shared time together as we each took turns opening a gift.

The rest of the day was spent hanging out together and enjoying our new toys!
It was a very enjoyable way to spend the day with the people I love the most.

Didn't she do an amazing job.  It's so pretty!

Zoe's Choir Concert

This year Zoe decided to join the Redtail Ridge Choir.

They meet once a week before school starts and this past December 16th was their first concert.

She did a wonderful job.

Emily's Choir Concert

Emily had her first Middle School Choir Concert on December 9th.

She was pretty nervous beforehand but it all turned out.

They sounded  so good!  What difference between her last Elementary grade concert and this one!

Thanksgiving 2014

We celebrated another fabulous Thanksgiving Day once a gain this year.

We were all in a cheerful, fun loving moods and I it's safe to say it was one of our best Thanksgiving days ever.

The whole gang arrived around noon; the Savage Hustads, Grandma and Grandpa Coleman and their dog Ferggie, Uncle Andy, and a course the Savage Johnsons with our dog Shelby.  It was a full house.

Dinner turned out well.
Two turkeys were cooked, mine in the oven and JJ's on the grill.  Everything tasted oh so good, with the exception of the item.
Mr. Cole didn't seem to care for JJ's spicy sweet potatoes so poor Emily and I had to dodge bits of potatoes being flung our way while Mr. Cole tried to flick it off his hands by shaking them.  It only happened a couple times, till he gave up trying to eat them.

The girls were kind enough to write up a schedule of the day's events for us, complete with a scheduled nap time or turkey coma time as we called it.  Other scheduled events were game time, pie time, thanks jar time.
It sure helped the kids from being to antsy between events and motivated them to help out more with clean up and set up in order to move out to more fun activities.   Definitely something I think we will continue to do in the future.

All in all it was an enjoyable day!

Snuggle Time

My favorite time of the day is when Shelby Baby finds me on the sofa and snuggles in for a belly rub.

The fur on the top of her head is so soft and she's always so warm and toasty.

I could happily spend hours doing just this!
